General LED was founded in 2007 to advance LED applications based on a strong intellectual property portfolio.  General LED's first operating company is AgiLIght, a leading supplier of LED lighting solutions for commercial signage.  AgiLight is celebrating four years of increasing acceptance of its channel letter and neon replacement lighting products, earning the trust of sign builders and brand managers alike.

The General LED team is technically diverse with complementary capabilities in electronics engineering, mechanical, thermal and packaging engineering, materials science and analysis, analytic chemistry and lighting design. Each General LED product is considered and proven across these disciplines, and upholds high standards across all dimensions of design and utility.

LED Lighting Experience

General LED’s two founders combined 50 years of LED experience bring some of the world’s deepest practical understanding of LED’s to the quest for better lighting. Their inventive genius spans applications for LEDs and OLEDs ranging from entertainment to safety. Among their credits is the invention of first handheld calculator with LED display, OLED displays and electrocromic inks, as well as step-sensitive LED displays for childrens footwear.

LED lighting companies are starting up all over the planet, with many lacking practical experience in demanding commercial applications of LEDs. General LED, through its AgiLight subsidiary, has four years of field success in the demanding world of commercial signage.
